The Patagonian winds begin to be calmed
down in May, winter is coming; Lengas trees (Nothofagus pumilio)
change their color, the temperature still is pleasant and
everything is quieter. For many people is the best time for
outdoor activities, the best conditions to practice kayaking
and trekking. All of this is possible using the correct equipment.
All our kayaking programs is possible to do from May to October
without problems, this because the low volume of the Serrano
River, trees in the low zones of the river appear and the
navigation is done more tranquil and easy. We can assure -certainly-,
a beautiful view of the snowy covered mountains of the Torres
del Paine National Park and of the mountains of the Southern
Ice Reserve.
There are three available areas to walk in Torres del Paine
National Park from May to October. One of them is French Valley
and Bader, both of them have an easy access even with some
snow. You can get to Grey Glacier with no problems and the
Paine Grande Refuge – on Pehoe Lake- is open all year
long. The tents are a possibility during the treks to the
valleys, using high quality equipment. We offer you all the
best conditions to develop the treks and we guarantee a view
of the mountains of Torres del Paine National Park covered
with snow, an admirable spectacle.
